Sample Work
Candle Lighting #1
Big roasted turkeys and crisp apple strudels
Warm friendly kisses and kugels with noodles
Family seders that start every Spring
These are a few of my favorite things.
Family stories and hugs that melt
I like getting their Chnnukah gelt
So come walking forward with the love that they bring
These are a few of my favorite things.
To the tune of "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music

Candle Lighting #2
Neighbors meet my neighbors
They’re the perfect kind of families
From the town of West Hills
They drove here to be with me.
When I walk down my street
I like all the people that I meet
So will all these neighbors
Have a good time a Yabba-Doo time
And make this candle shine!
To the tune of "The Flinstones Theme"

End of the year poem
Written for a company holiday party
As the old year slips to the memory line
We’ll again raise our glasses to Auld Lang Syne
And look back at the year that has passed
And wonder how 2006 really went so fast.
Like any other year 2006
Was filled with strange events
Some of them were logical
But most didn’t make any sense
Dick Cheney went out hunting
And he ended up shooting his friend
And the Iraq war still continues on and on
Do you think it will ever have an end?
Bill Gates and Warren Buffet
Are giving away their money
And we can’t even get a decent raise
Don’t you think that’s sort of funny?
Pluto is now not a planet
And the nation is saying no to trans fat
Computer batteries were staring fires
What do you think of that?

Volunteer Luncheon
(To the tune of Penny Lane)
In Pomelo there’s a group we call the volunteers
And everyone we have the pleasure to know
Day after day we see you come and go
To our little school
Very cool
In the hallways and the classes we see you there
Little children love it when you all come back
And you all have that certain knack
In our little school
We think you’re very cool
Volunteers you’re in school from day to night (tune change)
Here inside the green and white
We give our thanks
But meanwhile back
In Sacramento there’s a governor with a chopping block
In his head there’s no telling what he’ll do
But we want to say thanks to all of you
For the money too
There’s so much to do
